Morgan Spurlock, the acclaimed documentarian renowned for his bold exploration of the human condition in films like "Super Size Me," where he chronicled his own journey of consuming McDonald’s daily for a month, passed away on Thursday in upstate New York due to complications from cancer. He was 53.
Spurlock's family has confirmed his passing.
"It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to my brother Morgan," said Craig Spurlock, who collaborated with his brother on numerous projects. "Morgan's artistic contributions, innovative ideas, and boundless generosity enriched countless lives. Today, we mourn the loss of a genuine creative visionary and a remarkable individual. I am profoundly grateful to have shared in his work."
