Mike Tyson is reportedly in good condition following a medical incident during a flight. What occurred?

Mike Tyson addressed the audience on stage at the Texas Live! venue in Arlington, Texas, during the press conference for the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match on May 16, 2024.

On May 26, 2024, Mike Tyson, aged 57, experienced a medical episode during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Paramedics attended to the former heavyweight champion while he was aboard the aircraft.

According to representatives speaking to NBC News, Tyson is now in stable condition. In a statement, they reassured the public: “Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing well. He experienced nausea and dizziness attributed to a flare-up of an ulcer 30 minutes before the plane landed. He expresses gratitude to the medical personnel who provided assistance.”

A report from InTouch on May 27 described the incident as a "medical emergency" on the plane, prompting paramedics to intervene.

Tyson's representatives clarified that his medical condition was unrelated to any delays experienced by the plane. "Reports suggesting that his medical attention caused the flight delay are inaccurate. The two-hour delay was solely due to air conditioning issues on the aircraft," the statement emphasized.

Presently, Tyson is gearing up for a July bout against Jake Paul, a vlogger-turned-boxer who rose to prominence on YouTube and entered the boxing arena in 2018. Scheduled to be broadcast on Netflix on July 20, 2024, the match promises to be a significant event.

In preparation for the fight, Tyson has been diligently training, making certain lifestyle adjustments along the way. As he revealed on "The Damon Elliot Show" in April, "I haven’t smoked for two-and-a-half weeks, and I haven’t engaged in sexual activity for the same period."
